Get Ready for the Niles Cannabis Festival
Saturday, July 31st 10 AM – 10 PM
Southwest Michigan is gearing up for the inaugural Float Presents Niles Cannabis Festival from 10 AM – 10 PM on Saturday, July 31st. Seven marijuana provisioning centers will be selling cannabis products which you will be able to enjoy in two consumption lounge tents along with some patio areas. There will also be select vendors, food trucks, games, infused foods, free water, misting area, and a lineup of five musical acts.
Melanie Spencely runs the Lansing cannabis event company Float Presents and says, “Our festival is the first of its kind for Michigan, and we’ve been working hand in hand with the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency to make it all work. We’ve given some free tickets to the Senior Center because we were getting so much interest in learning about cannabis from the people they serve. When you have everyone coming together like this to break down the stigma around cannabis it’s pretty incredible. It’s so exciting to bring together a group of Michigan businesses that really want to change people’s lives.”
Shaun Barsic is the President of Operations for Mother Nurtures of Big Rapids and shares a love of Niles, “Both our owner and I lived in Niles & we wanted to be part of the first Festival an we want to see where this leads us. We believe in the therapeutic and medicinal value that cannabis so we take time getting to know our medical and recreational customers and their specific needs and desires. The Festival is giving dispensaries some time between the acts to talk about what makes us special and there’s also the opportunity to talk to people one on one in our booth.”
The dispensaries at the event all have discounted ticket codes that you can check out:
George Lynch is the CEO of Green Stem Provisioning in Niles sums it up well, “I think we’re headed into a new chapter here in southwest Michigan. Nobody else has done this, and we’re excited to see what happens.”
