The Michigan Cannabis Trail is all about finding ways to help people connect locally with Michigan cannabis experiences, and we were very excited to come across this promotion in Instagram from Green Stem, a Niles medical & recreational marijuana provisioning center.

They’ve created the the Niles Munchie Trail that allows you to take your dispensary receipt to any of 13 restaurants within 24 hours of your purchase for a special discount!

Green Stem co-owner George Lynch explains “We’re a family owned business. Since day one we’ve wanted to give back to the community in Niles who have welcomed us here. A lot of the restaurants in our area have been struggling due to the pandemic. My son Michael came to me and said why don’t we try to help them out?”

Lynch says that the promotion aligns perfectly with their goals of supporting the local community & helping to remove the stigma around cannabis. “We give to national efforts like the Last Prisoner Project & Marijuana Policy Project, but we’re also writing checks to many vital nonprofits in the area including the Ferry Street Resource Center & Spero House. We wanted to give to the local YMCA, but our attorney advised us there wasn’t a way for us to do it so we bought $30,000 in memberships for our employees.”
